Yes! I was just thinking that Thunderbird really needs a new (Firefox-like) icon!
The icon Thunderbird has now, which is an envelope, always makes me think that the object in the taskbar is an open e-mail, or a composed one in progress, as opposed to a view of the inbox.
I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird .5 for over a month now, initially for the spam control. It's a been fantastic alternative for outlook express. Super fast and many options.
Your logo's are awesome, glad they have you on board for this stuff.
"Is it still going to be Thunderbird? Or something like Thunderfox?"
I'd just like to point out, to everyone who thinks Firefox is a meaningless name, that they're wrong. "Firefox" is what the Chinese call the lesser panda. (Of course, they use the Chinese words for fire and fox.) It's a small, orange animal of the raccoon family. Very cute, if you've ever seen one in real life.
I still think the Firefox icon is the nicest one on my desktop, by the way.
I use Safari when on Mac. Most of my day is spent in front of XP and Firefox, which is ok but the interface could use a little help. Especially from the Silver Orange Jon Hicks super team.
Paul D, actually it's not in the racoon family but the bear family. There was some disagreement and uncertainty decades ago but genetic molecular analysis has firmly placed the firefox alongside the giant panda in the bear family, Ursidae..

Will we see the new Icon in 0.6 and the nightlys before?
I use TB as my main mail client under MacOS X. The only one that can be configured to use a preexisting folderset on an IMAP server, instead off forcing you to use its own folder(names), like Mail.app or Entourage.
Is there also going to be a wallpaper like the wallpaper of Firefox? I really like the firefox wallpaper and looking at the tbird preview i'm also going to love the tbird wallpaper...
Are we going to have a legal situation where the new Firefox/Thunderbird theme will only be on official builds and the unofficial builds will still use Qute?
