MacUser 20/20 interview

Shameless plug ahoy. The latest issue of the UK’s MacUser magazine (2nd September, #18) has a double-spread interview with myself, for its ‘20/20’ series. It was all a bit of rush, so my answers aren’t the most entertaining or eloquently written, but I’m as chuffed as Jack the Biscuit to be in there! ;o)

Frankly, I am suprised they you didn’t have them stop the presses to add a certain logo, which should all being well, be just left off this comment!

Congrats Jon, you are mainstream now! :)

You went to collage in blackpool?

Jon Hicks said 1134 days ago:

John – but Denis did that logo! He can get his own spread!

Noel – Simple. It had the best course in wildlife illustration in the country.

Congratulations Jon, I just flicked through the new issue this evening and saw your write-up. I hope that you get your chance to work on OmniWeb’s interface – I’d love to see what you’d do with it. I always think that OmniWeb is nearly brilliant, if only it were a little faster and a little better looking (particularly the toolbar icons).

Congratulations!

I’d never have guessed that you were originally a wildlife illustrator, as not much of your major work seems to bear any relation. Do you still do a bit for relaxation?

Dave said 1134 days ago:

Wildlife illustrator?! You kept that quiet! Well done, you are an inspiration to us all but his is only the beginning….right?

I don’t do the wildlife illustration anymore, more’s the pity. I really miss the feel of brush, paint and paper.
