Thats it – all done. The last job is ‘put to bed’ before I go on holiday. Its a good feeling, even if it is gone 2am. If anyone tells you that freelancers can ‘pick their own hours’, you must soundly slap them and request that they smell what exactly it is that they’re shoveling.
I’ll be off for 2 weeks, although I intend to catch up with journal entries in the second week. See you then…

Strange, I just got home from a late night at the office, putting the finishing touches on a project that ships out tomorrow before I leave for a few days vacation. Good timing. And a good feeling.Peter Zignego said 1512 days ago:

I know just what you’re talking about Jon. A common misconception is that freelancers can pick and choose their hours, but the reality of the matter is that projects usually consume the wee hours of the morning.Although, I must admit, I get my most creative at that time.

Oh I am definately the most creative after about 1 in the morning.I’m not sure if it’s the lack of sleep or the over-abundance of caffeine and coccaine.
(I’m kidding about the coccaine.)

Man, I think alot of web developers are more creative in the morning. I think it also helps if you work in the morning if your working on live pages.Lucas Fillmore said 1506 days ago:

No. The most productive/creative time is after midnight – at precisely 00:01The creative hours dwindle at around 3am, after which time you are left staring at the PC in a zombified state, mumbling every so often while you dance back and forth between open Google/BBC browser windows without ever really absorbing their content.
Then the baby wakes you at 05:01…
BTW Jeff, I think you should opt for speed instead… caffeine really isn’t good for you ;-)
